An Oasis of Hope
Pakistan’s first free hospital.
The Indus Hospital is a state-of-the-art tertiary care center providing quality health-care to everyone in Pakistan completely free. Founded on the premise to make state-of-the-art free health-care a reality in Pakistan, the humble beginnings of The Indus Hospital can be traced back to the year 2005, when a group of dedicated doctors, philanthropists and businessmen came forward and pledged support for the disadvantaged communities in Karachi by establishing a state-of-the-art, free hospital.
Fuelled by a passion to serve people unable to afford health-care facilities, their determination planted the seeds of a vision that culminated in the creation of a 150 bed tertiary care center in July 2007.
Spread over 20 acres of land and located in the densely populated Korangi area, today The Indus Hospital is a symbol of hope for the most vulnerable members of Pakistani society.
The Indus hospital has now grown to form a healthcare network with hospitals in Karachi, Badin, Rahim Yar Khan, Muzaffargarh and Lahore. It is soon opening its full-service hospitals in the cities of Peshawar, Lahore, Mansehra, Multan and Quetta.
It is presently the only initiative of its kind in Pakistan to provide premium health-care in an impressive, 150-bedded health center completely free to people who neither have access to health-care services, nor the means to pay for it.
